Jed S. Vanichkachorn, M.D.

Dr. Vanichkachorn, known simply as Dr. Van by his patients, specializes in the evaluation and treatment of back and neck problems. He received his orthopaedic training in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Thomas Jefferson University, a renowned regional spinal cord injury center. He then completed the Maryland Spine Reconstructive Fellowship in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Van is board-certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is an active member of many professional societies, including the Virginia Orthopaedic Society, the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Van and his staff are dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients suffering from ailments of the back and neck. Dr. Van has a special interest in minimally invasive surgical intervention and the development of motion preservation procedures. In addition to standard fusion procedures, Dr. Van is trained in cervical and lumbar disc replacement surgery. He also performs kyphoplasty for compression fractures.
